Time and Attendance and Access Control - South Buckinghamshire Council

A BSIA member worked with South Buckinghamshire District Council, who employ 250 staff of which the majority are based at their new offices in Capswood, Denham, to install an integrated Time & Attendance and Access Control system.

On asking why he chose this particular BSIA supplier, Alan Munro, Project Leader, commented: “They met our requirements and had a more flexible, future-proof system than the competitors”. He added, “The system is as simple or as complex as you want to make it!”

“From a users point of view, the system does what we want, and it’s easy to administer. Everybody likes using the smart cards - so much easier than the swipe cards and keypads we had before. We have had reason to call the suppliers Help Desk and found them to be very helpful.”

The Council are now currently considering extending the access control part of the system to other doors within the building. What the Council like most about the security system is that it is Windows based and user friendly. “It doesn’t take more than a few clicks to pretty well do anything in the system” remarked Alan Munro.

Asked if he would recommend the BSIA supplier to other customers, without a pause Alan said: “Of course we would.” Finally, when asked to sum up their experience with the supplier in a few words Alan said: “Efficient, helpful and easy to deal with.”
