Combined time and attendance and access control - Brayford Plastics

One BSIA member worked with Brayford Plastics Ltd, who operate two manufacturing plants within the UK, to provide an access control and time and attendance system via an integrated system which could provide both functions.

Brayford Plastics looked at systems from various suppliers and decided upon a particular BSIA company because, as Company Director, Brian Thornber, explains:  “They were the best, and the only one that combined Access Control with Time & Attendance with easy to use smart cards.”

After the integrated security system was installed no problems were encountered on either the hardware or the software. Members of the IT and Payroll departments, were then trained in the use of the system at the suppliers training centre.

Brayford Pastics are particularly happy with the way the system helps them manage security and time & attendance as well as being able to log who is on-site for Health & Safety purposes. They are also pleased with the way the system formulates hours for the hourly paid staff and controls access into the different areas of the factory and offices.

IT and Personnel Manager, Samantha Stocks, comments: “The security system is simple, straight forward, robust and easy to use. The smart card system is easy to maintain and the general running of the system works well. We have also had need to use the systems Fire Roll Call feature, which worked brilliantly.”
