GlaxoSmithKline report zero burglaries thanks to BSIA member

Two years ago, pharmaceutical giant, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), introduced a BSIA member’s forensic property marking to their premises in west London. Since introducing the scheme there have been zero on-site burglaries reported.

The company uses the BSIA member’s product to mark all of its new issue laptops and high-value projectors at its three main sites in Brentford, Greenford and Stockley Park.

GSK security manager, Brendan Bourke, said: “The marking process is very easy. So much so that we’ve given the kits directly to our IT staff and when they are installing new equipment they mark the items at the same time. This means the whole process can be done at source, saving the company a great deal of time and effort.”
