HR Forum

The BSIA's successful HR Forum is made up of HR representatives from BSIA member companies belonging to the Security Guarding and Cash and Valuables in Transit Sections. The HR Forum plays a key function in addressing employment and careers issues in the industry. The group meets regularly to discuss changes in employment law, share best practice and debate topical issues.

Career Transition Partnership

The BSIA has a close relationship with the Careers Transition Partnership (CTP), an organisation which provides resettlement services for those leaving the Armed Forces, and operates as an intermediary service for employers wishing to hire highly skilled, committed and capable employees. Over 12,000 service leavers come on to the civilian job market each year. These include highly trained engineers and technicians. Service leavers often have experience with cutting edge technologies and a wide range of transferable skills.

JobCentre Plus

The BSIA works closely with JobCentre Plus to promote security careers to jobseekers across the UK. Most recently, the Association took part in the Security Works: Scotland project, a joint initiative to raise awareness among careers advisors of the career opportunities presented by the security sector.
