IndigoVision Helps Birmingham Airport Increase Operational Efficiency, Achieves Return On Investment Within 9 Months

When the Senior Executives at Birmingham Airport were laying out plans to increase passenger numbers and improve operational efficiency, it became clear that the existing system and infrastructure would be unable to meet these demands.Most of the existing analogue cameras were replaced with IndigoVision Enhanced IP cameras, while the remaining analogue cameras were converted to IP using IndigoVision Encoders. Since all of these devices employ IndigoVision’s world class video compression allowing video to be streamed over minimal bandwidth.

Royal Docks enjoy greater coverage, with fewer cameras thanks to IndigoVision

Standard Definition (SD) cameras employed by the Royal Docks Management Agency have been replaced by IndigoVision’s High Definition (HD) BX cameras to provide surveillance for complex sites across a wide geographical area with difficult light conditions. 

The increased resolution from the new HD cameras meant more effective digital zoom, allowing Royal Docks to reduce the total number of cameras by 15%.
