Asset and Property Marking Section Criteria
Companies wishing to join the BSIA's Asset Property Marking section must meet the following criteria in order to be admitted to the section:
A company engaged in the design, manufacture, installation, distribution, maintenance or repair of products intended to protect property and assets. Such products should be for the marking or labelling of assets and property, including cash, for one or more of the following purposes: deterrence against theft; identification of stolen goods; identification of a suspect exposed to the product; providing evidence of tampering; providing evidence of authenticity.
Code of Ethics for BSIA Members
BSIA members shall adhere to the Standards of Ethics stated in the Articles and the Model Section Rules and the “Code of ethics for BSIA Members - Supplementary Annex for all sections” (Form 355).
Asset and Property Marking Section ISO 9001 UKAS certification.
In accordance with clause 2.3 of the Model Section Rules of the Association, membership of the Asset & Property Marking Section is conditional on the Operating Board being satisfied that the member has the relevant ISO 9001 certification. New applicants shall undertake to obtain ISO 9001 within 1 year of obtaining membership. The Section Committee may extend that period to a maximum of 24 months, provided that it is satisfied that the member is making progress towards registration.
