Surge of appointments for Securitas UK Electronic Security division
The specialist Electronic Security (ES) division of Securitas has wasted no time in pressing ahead with plans to support its ambitious growth strategy, making three significant appointments in the first few weeks of 2021.
David Tracey, Thomas Bleasdale and Stephen Dimon have all joined the 100-strong team of technicians and support staff - who focus purely on the end-to-end provision of electronic security and fire safety systems - to help advance operational effectiveness and business development.
Delighted with the three new appointments, Arthur Agnew, Head of Electronic Security at Securitas UK, explained:
“We have our sights firmly set on the service performance and financial output we expect our ES division to achieve over the coming months and years. With the strategic recruitment of David, Thomas and Stephen, we have strengthened the high-level management of our projects and installations function and expanded our ES sales presence in key UK regions to drive this forward.”
Taking up the role of National Operations Manager, David Tracey is responsible for overseeing the activity of the Securitas ES installations and projects teams, incorporating stock management, installations planning and both in-house and client embedded project management. With over 30 years in the security industry behind him, David has wide-ranging experience from engineering, operations, project management and advisory positions at respected security installers and latterly, the Ministry of Defence and Home Office (Office for Security and Counter Terrorism).
Asked about his move to Securitas, David commented: “Securitas has an excellent reputation both as a protective services provider and employer. When you add to that the company’s substantial plans for electronic security in the UK, a role within this division at this time offers an exciting combination of established quality and great potential. I’m looking forward to helping my team flourish and play our part in delivering world-class electronic security for Securitas clients.”
Also poised to contribute to the success of Securitas’ ES division are Thomas Bleasdale and Stephen Dimon, who have joined as Business Development Managers. Thomas is based in the North West and is located to advise companies along the M62 corridor on their electronic security needs. Some 200 miles away in London, Stephen is focused on specifying systems for high profile organisations and private clients throughout the Capital and South East.
Thomas’s interest in security started early, when his Father - an electronic security engineer - took him under his wing as his apprentice. After that, he secured a formal apprenticeship with an installer. Roles in security design and project management then followed (which included works to secure the North West water supply), before his most recent and more sales-focused post as a key account manager.
Like Thomas, Stephen has a pure security background, spending the last eight years with an international building controls company. During that time, he has developed a detailed knowledge of the security management systems deployed in a variety of vertical markets including retail, public sector and corporate. His focus has always been specifying these systems through sales and account management roles; his most recent being a strategic account manager for integrated solutions.
