Scottish Fire & Rescue Service - Consultation outcome on reducing unwanted fire alarm signals from AFAs

The BSIA recently participated, with members' support, in the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service consultation to reduce unwanted fire alarm signals from AFAs. The consultation closed on 11 October and the outcome has just been published.

We are pleased the outcome of the consultation met the needs of members and looks to have taken account of the additional commentary we submitted to make the chosen proposal more ‘practical’ in its application. You may note the implementation of the changes has been deferred until April 2023.
