BSIA recognised at Association Excellence Awards 2022
The BSIA took silver at the prestigious Association Excellence Awards last week for Best Association of the Year 2022.
Held at the Kia Oval in London, the Association were up against ten of the largest Associations in the United Kingdom and were recognised by the judges who commented that; "The BSIA has been transformed in the last three years under its new leadership team, with record high retention figures and significant investment into the services it provides for its members. It has consolidated itself as ‘the voice of the professional security industry', working closely with industry and government partners and leaders in representing its members and raising awareness of the work of professional security companies across the United Kingdom."
The judges aso highlighted the following key achievements:

"Impressive turnaround. Good relevant service for members including key worker status"
"Key evidence of improvement and turnaround in the organisation. Strategy evidenced with increased turnover, engagement and retention. Investment and research adding to the voice and impact of the organisation on a national scale. Evidence of strong campaigns via supporting materials"
"Very good achievements in turning round the organisation in a short period of time. Good lobbying and guidance documents"
The award was accepted on behalf of the BSIA by Head of Communications, Andrew Cooper, and follows up 2020's Business Member Association of the Year, won at the Association of Association Executives, adding to the awards won since the new leadership team was installed in 2019.
