Author: Amanda Caton/09 April 2015/Categories: Case Studies, Training Providers

Gary has been working at The British Training Academy as part of the Work Based Learning Department since the summer of 2011. He was offered his role after successfully completing the Level 2 Spectator Safety Apprenticeship, during which he showed great confidence and proved to be a valuable addition to the team. As part of his job role Gary processes all paperwork relating to the enrolment and completion of learners on all departmental courses, and organises, controls and completes all enrolment and completion paperwork. He also ensures all learners are registered with the appropriate awarding body and deals promptly with any issues that may arise from this, as well as running enrolment sessions at the company headquarters and at other locations as appropriate.

Gary also liaises directly with the colleges and the awarding bodies we work with to ensure all standards are being met. During Gary’s apprenticeship he worked at some of the largest events in the country such as Glastonbury Festival, Henley Festival, Scotland Rewind Festival and Wembley Stadium; no matter how demanding the job got he always remained a positive and reliable team player which was noticed by senior members of staff. Since joining the team at The British Training Academy, Gary has continued to improve in all areas of his job role undergoing continual training, such as an NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration, SIA Door Supervisor Licence and Introduction to Safeguarding. Gary still very much enjoys going out and working events; his favourite is Henley Festival which is one of England’s most prestigious events, being held in July every year after the Henley Regatta, it plays host to such acts as Sir Tom Jones. 2013 was his third year at this event and definitely not his last.
