Security Organisations Unite for Pride in London

Wednesday 24 June 2026 - BSIA COMMS

Members of the UK security sector are set to take part in Pride in London 2026, as organisations from across the industry unite under the banner of the UK Security Commonwealth to demonstrate their commitment to inclusion and equality.

The initiative brings together a wide range of leading bodies - including the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), ASIS International UK, The Security Institute, The City Security Council, Safer Business Network and the Women in Security Network - to stand side by side in the capital’s annual Pride parade.

Taking place on Saturday 4 July, the event will begin in Hyde Park before participants join the main Pride parade through central London, one of the UK’s largest and most visible celebrations of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Championing inclusion across the sector

The collective presence of the security profession at Pride reflects a growing emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion within the industry. Organisers say the demonstration is not only a celebration of LGBTQIA+ colleagues, but also a clear statement that the sector is committed to building a more inclusive and representative workforce.

The UK Security Commonwealth, an umbrella organisation representing multiple security membership bodies, has long promoted collaboration and shared values across the profession, with inclusion forming a key part of its broader agenda.

Participation in Pride has become an increasingly important platform for the industry to demonstrate these values publicly - highlighting the importance of visibility, allyship and support for underrepresented groups within the workplace and wider society.
