Retail crime is hitting businesses hard, and the best response is a joined-up one. Join NE1, Northumbria Police, the National Business Crime Centre and the BSIA for a morning of practical insight from the people tackling it every day.
Doors open at 10:30am with coffee and a chance to meet other attendees. The speakers start at 11am, with NE1’s Mark Sumner opening. Each speaker gets five minutes, so it’s quick, focused and to the point. You’ll hear from:
Northumbria Police, including the business crime lead and the City Centre Team
The National Business Crime Centre
SentrySIS, on its platform for sharing incident information
UK Partners Against Crime, on getting data-driven results through intelligence sharing
1st Point Loss Prevention Solutions, on product protection
Smoke Screen, on security fog technology
A retail update and a security guarding session
After the speeches, the rest of the session is for networking and live demonstrations until 2pm. It’s a chance to talk to the police, the BID and the suppliers, and to see the technology for yourself.
The event is supported by NABCP, Apex Radio Systems, Eboracum, SentrySIS, 1st Point, UK Partners Against Crime and Smoke Screen.
This free event unites Newcastle NE1 BCRP, Northumbria Police, security experts and vendors, and local retailers for a powerful day of collaboration, demonstrations, and discussion to help businesses protect themselves from retail crime in Newcastle and surrounding area.
