FGH Security Named One of the UK's Best Places to Work for the Third Consecutive Year
[PRESS RELEASE]
The Sunday Times has named FGH Security one of the Best Places to Work in the UK for the third consecutive year.
Founded in 2003 to keep people safe and raise standards in the UK private security industry, FGH Security is the only personnel security company to feature on the list to date.
The business, with offices in Lancaster, Liverpool, Manchester and London, counts international brands and prominent organisations such as Alstom, Co-op Live, JD Group, Liverpool Football Club, Mission Mars, New West End Company, and Swatch amongst its customer base.
Peter Harrison, FGH Security Managing Director & Founder, commented:
"Being recognised for the third year in a row is a testament to our team's dedication and the positive culture we've cultivated. Our purpose has always been to keep people safe, and that starts with ensuring our own team feels valued and supported."
“I always wanted FGH Security to be recognised as a great company to work for, alongside other national and global companies, not just those in the security field.”
“It’s vital we keep shouting about what a rewarding and professional career working in security can be to continue attracting the very best talent.”
“The work our frontline team members do in keeping over 100 million people safe every year is vital.”
“I also owe a big thank you to everyone in our support, supervisory and management teams, who are constantly going the extra mile to look after our team members, delivering an employment experience where they can perform at their absolute best.”
Kerri Boddy, frontline Security Officer who recently stepped into a hybrid office role, commented:
“What do I love about working at FGH? The teamwork. There’s no ‘I’ or ‘me’ here – it’s always ‘we’ and ‘us’. We’re a team.”
How The Survey Works
The Sunday Times partners with employee-experience platform WorkL to deliver fresh insights into what makes a Best Place to Work, and this nationwide workplace survey honours and celebrates the UK’s top employers.
To be included in the list companies will need to complete stringent surveys. The submissions are then reviewed following 26 questions from WorkL’s employee engagement survey, developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders, academics and other independent parties to most accurately monitor employee engagement, wellbeing and discretionary effort in the workplace.
The six pillars are:
Reward and Recognition, Instilling Pride, Information Sharing, Empowerment, Wellbeing, Job Satisfaction.

A Best Place to Work
FGH Security puts people at the heart of everything they do—investing heavily in development, recognition, and wellbeing.
This latest accolade follows the award for ‘Employer of the Year’ at the 15th Red Rose Awards at the beginning of 2025, elevating the company’s regional appreciation into national praise.
FGH Security prioritises the professional growth of their team through personal Learning & Development budgets, in-house training programmes and multiple training courses delivered by their sister company FGH Training at no cost to team members.
Their purpose is to keep people safe, so every decision—from the frontline up to the boardroom—needs to align with this. They understand that they can only expect team members to deliver this when they themselves feel they are working in a safe and rewarding organisation. As a result, their number one value has always been ‘Look After Our Team’.
