BSIA member AURA UK, a security technology company providing nationwide access to rapid security response, is pleased to announce the appointment of James Wilson as Head of Customer Growth.
Wilson joins AURA at a time when the company is continuing to scale its on-demand security response network nationwide. AURA operates by aggregating a nationwide network of vetted security service partners, all of whom meet accredited SIA standards and bring their licensed personnel onto the platform. AURA currently works with around 180 such partners across the UK, collectively representing more than 4,000 security professionals, a figure that continues to grow rapidly as demand increases.
The platform is now being used across approximately 180,000 properties in the UK, supporting thousands of alarm callouts each month as AURA’s rapid response model continues to scale.
In his new role, Wilson will lead AURA’s customer growth strategy in the UK, with responsibility for strategic areas including deepening customer and partnership engagement, as well as market expansion. He will work closely with the leadership team to accelerate adoption and support the continued expansion of AURA’s national service network.
“At this point in AURA’s growth, the opportunity is as much about scaling intelligently as it is about scaling quickly,” said Alex Booth, Managing Director at AURA UK. “We’re already operating at meaningful scale across both customers and service partners, and James will play a key role in ensuring we continue to grow in a structured, sustainable way.”
“What stands out about James is his ability to take strong early traction and turn it into disciplined, repeatable growth. As our network of partners and users expands, that ability to build with clarity and focus will become increasingly important.”
Wilson joins AURA with extensive experience in growth and commercial leadership roles across technology and services businesses. Prior to joining AURA, he held senior positions focused on scaling revenue and building strategic partnerships for high-growth companies.
Commenting on his appointment, Wilson said: “AURA is already operating at real scale, both in terms of its partner network and the number of properties relying on its service every month. What’s exciting is that this is still early in the journey, given the size of the problem the company is solving.”
“My focus will be on accelerating growth in a way that is structured and sustainable: expanding our reach across the UK, strengthening our partnerships, and ensuring that as more customers come onto the platform, the quality and reliability of the service continues to improve.”
Booth added: “James brings a strong commercial mindset at exactly the right moment for AURA. As we continue to scale our partner network and expand into more properties across the UK, his experience in building and structuring growth will be highly valuable.”
