Third Millennium release latest range of card readers

Third Millennium have released its latest range of card readers; the RX5M Ligature Resistant card reader aimed at secure Mental Health Facilities and custodial environments and the RXQR and RXKQR, two multi-technology high security DESFire card readers with an integrated QR Code reader for visitor management applications.  

The RX5M is a Third Millennium styled flush mounted Ligature Resistant reader. The unit is a multi-technology reader suitable to interface with all standard access control systems, and offers impact resistant construction with a high degree of protection against vandalism and malicious attack.

The stainless steel, flush fit assembled housing may be secured to a recessed standard UK Double Gang back box using 2 security screws (supplied) making installation quick and easy. The primary function of the reader is to prevent anyone from harming themselves, or others, and ensuring that a ligature cannot be attached to the reader. However, the RX5M is also suitable for areas where standard readers might become damaged, such as unsupervised public places, corridors and detention facilities.

Third Millennium advanced access QR reader is a well established part of the information digital world, and forms an increasingly important aspect in the security access marketplace. In response to many inquiries made by our customers, we developed the RXQR and RXKQR card readers. Designed to match the family of RX Series® card readers, these units will blend seamlessly with existing installations of Third Millennium advanced access control readers, or be part of a clean, well designed new installation project.

Each unit operates as a dual function assembly, combining a secure multi-technology RFID reader, together with a QR scanner offering convenience-oriented applications and access. 

The RXQRK features an RGB illuminated keypad offering the additional security of PIN entry; designed to mount directly to a plain wall surface, or to a standard single gang UK or EU electrical back box, the RXQR series are quick and easy to install.
