The Home Office is consulting on proposals to implement the Manchester Arena Inquiry’s recommendations concerning the security industry licensing regime.
The Manchester Arena Inquiry’s Volume 1 Report?made two monitored recommendations:
- to review whether in-house CCTV operators should be licensed (MR7)
- to consider whether contractors who carry out security services should be licensed (MR8)
This consultation is open to the public, and is targeted at the following, amongst others:
- in-house security employees and employers
- SIA licence holders
- private security firms
- private security buyers
- industry associations
The survey will take around 20 minutes to complete, depending on how much detail you give. If you wish to take part, you will be required to complete the survey in one sitting.
