Women in Security Network Host International Women's Day Event

The Women in Security Network (WISE UK) hosted their annual International Women's Day celebration at The Old Library, Digbeth, Birmingham on 7 March 2026. 

The day is designed to bring women across all security sectors for uplifting stories, moving discussions, and a chance to network with likeminded colleagues. With 180+ women in the room, the day focused on key topics that women in security face doing their day-to-day jobs, including women's health, senior leadership, respective industry roles, childcare and motherhood, and so much more.

The BSIA were proud to be a sponsor of the Women in Security Network International Women's Day event, hosting a table with members MAN Commercial, Skills for Security, Orbis Protect, and Cento - along with the wonderful company of Gaby Price from Women's Aid. We were delighted to see members from various companies, along with industry colleagues, all championing and celebrating women within our sector.

Membership Development Executive, Lauren Bettington, hosted the BSIA's table - along with Chelsea Peplow and Daisy Allen from the MarComms team, and Mandy Miller from the Administration team. Liz Lloyd, Head of MarComms, is a founder and organiser within the Women in Security Network.
