Corps Security awarded Platinum certification by Neutral Carbon Zone

Wednesday 18 March 2026 - BSIA COMMS

Founding BSIA member Corps Security has achieved Platinum certification from Neutral Carbon Zone (NCZ), a BSIA Affinity Partner, marking a significant milestone in the company's sustainability journey.

The London-based security services provider has upgraded from Gold staatus in its third year working with NCZ, following a further reduction in its carbon emissions during the 2025 calendar year. Corps recorded a total carbon footprint of 6,184.85 tCO2e, representing a 19% reduction compared with 2024.

Between 2024 and 2025, Corps achieved a 35% reduction in Scope one emissions, driven largely by the continued transitions of its company fleet to electric vehicles, with emissions from company cars alone falling by almost 39%. Scope two emissions associatied with electricity consumption reduced by more than 94%, following the move to renewable energy sources.

Scope three emissions, which account for the majority of the organisation’s footprint, fell by 18%, reflecting improvements across employee commuting and home working, purchased goods and services, and well-to-tank emissions.

When measured against revenue, Corps’ carbon intensity improved significantly. Total emissions per £1 million of turnover fell by more than 29%, from 65,919 kgCO2e in 2024 to 46,678 kgCO2e in 2025, while the business grew revenue by more than 14% over the same period. Platinum status represents the highest tier of NCZ certification.

Independent verification and recognised standards

NCZ’s carbon footprint reporting recognises organisations that measure their full organisational and operational footprint in line with internationally recognised standards, including the WRI/WBCSD Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard and ISO 14064-1:2018. The assessment covers Scope one, two and three emissions.

Commenting on the achievement, Sharon McLaren, Quality and Compliance Manager at Corps Security, said:
“This Platinum certification from Neutral Carbon Zone reflects the sustained decarbonisation effort from people across our organisation. Progress like this shows that our colleagues are equally committed to our sustainability journey, and our efforts are translating into clear results. We will continue building our sustainable practices aligned with our People, Planet, Purpose philosophy.”

Next Steps

As part of the assessment, NCZ identified several priorities for the next reporting period, including increasing staff participation in commuting surveys to further strengthen data quality, undertaking deeper supply chain analysis to identify additional efficiencies, and standardising energy and fuel data collection processes.
